2022 Mercedes CLS Comes With Subtle Styling Tweaks
The automaker did not reveal the pricing information yet.
The German automaker has introduced the 2022 Mercedes CLS featuring a few design updates. The front look is now sharper with a new bumper and grille styling and we see a new steering wheel inside. The biggest change for the U.S. market is in variants; the automaker has ditched the entry-level model as well as the more robust AMG CLS53 model. So, the only option for customers is the CLS450 4Matic
The power comes from a turbocharged 3.0-liter inline-six generating 362 horsepower linked to a 48-volt hybrid system. The only drive layout is 4Matic all-wheel-drive. Those seeking the extra oomph of the AMG CLS53 model have to opt for the AMG E53 sedan or coupe to enjoy the 429-hp V6 engine.
The visual tweaks are minor, so you need a keen eye to find the differences. However, the 2022 Mercedes CLS gives you some new exterior paint choices, updated wheel patterns, and fresh interior trim options.
The automaker did not reveal the pricing information of the CLS yet. However, we believe it will cost a little higher
than before because of the standard AWD. The 2021 CLS450 4Matic costed $73,850.
