2022 Hyundai Santa Fe Comes in Spring, Offering Hybrid, Plug-in Hybrid Models
The base gasoline-powered Santa Fe SE will be priced from $28,025.
The 2022 Hyundai Santa Fe comes with various attractive features, including the choice of two gas-powered mills, a hybrid, as well as a plug-in hybrid. The latter will compete against Audi, Mitsubishi, and Toyota’s offerings once it hit the roads in summer.
The 2022 Hyundai Santa Fe plug-in hybrid gets a 177-hp 1.6L four-cylinder mill mating to a 13.0-kW battery pack and an electric motor that creates 90 horsepower. The hybrid powertrain generates 260 horsepower that goes to all four wheels.
The hybrid variant has a turbocharged 1.6L engine that pairs with a 60-hp electric motor to generate a total output of 226-hp. The automaker says the hybrid model will deliver 34 mpg, while the plug-in will offer 33 mpg and 30 miles of electric driving range. The two gasoline engines will also be a part of the lot. The gas-powered models look similar to the hybrid variants.
The plug-in Santa Fe will come in two variants: SEL and Limited. The SEL comes equipped with Hyundai’s digital key and Smart Sense safety facilities in addition to a 12.3-inch digital gauge cluster and an 8.0-inch infotainment screen. The Limited offers Hyundai’s Smart Park, a 360-degree camera, ventilated leather seats, and a 10.3-inch screen.
The first to hit the roads in spring will be the 2022 Hyundai Santa Fe Hybrid. The plug-in-hybrid will arrive in summer wearing a price tag of approximately $35,000 for the SEL. The base gasoline-powered Santa Fe SE will be priced from $28,025.
