For the 2021 model year, Toyota is adding a new middle-grade electrified trim named RAV4 Hybrid XLE Premium. Created on the gas-powered RAV4 XLE and sitting between the Hybrid XLE and the Hybrid XSE, it comes equipped with 18-inch five-spoke chrome-finished alloy wheels, LED projector headlights, LED daytime running lights, and integrated fog lights.

The interior is adorned with a power moon roof, an eight-way power-adjustable driver seat with lumbar support, a four-way passenger seat, five USB ports (three up front and two in the rear), a leather-trimmed steering wheel, and a 7.0-inch touchscreen infotainment screen supporting Apple CarPlay and Android Auto.

The Hybrid XLE costs $30,970 (inclusive of $1,175 destination fee), while the XSE Hybrid starts at $35,625. The new 2021 Toyota RAV4 Hybrid XLE Premium costs $33,675, making it an ideal option for buyers who do not want to go all-out.

Although the new trim level is a good option for shoppers, the more thrilling news is the RAV4 Prime plug-in hybrid boasting a gasoline mill paired with two electric motors to generate 302 horsepower (225 kilowatts) collectively. The RAV4 Hybrid with 2.5L four-cylinder and an electric motor churns out 215 hp (160 kW).

For reference, the 2020 RAV4 HEV starts at AED 112,900.
