MG Motor to Introduce MG RX 8, MG 5 and MG HS for the Middle East
For families that love a big SUV, the brand is offering the seven-seater MG RX 8.
Keeping in mind the rapidly-growing popularity and year-on-year growth of MG Motor cars, the automaker has decided to introduce three new models for the Middle Eastern markets. In the last four years of brand’s existence in the region, customers really loved the MG 6, MG RX 5, MG ZS and MG GS. To cater to the demands of growing customers and expand their product offerings at the same time, the brand is bringing the seven-seater MG RX 8, new compact sedan MG 5 and the mid-size SUV MG HS.
For families that love a big SUV, the brand is offering the MG RX 8 with a taller, longer and wider stance than most other SUVs in the market. The lush interior, three rowing seating as well as six driving modes make it stand apart among its competitors.
The MG 5 sporty sedan comes equipped with a 1.5L petrol engine and striking hi-tech features such as rear view camera, 10.1-inch touch screen, push-button start and a 360o surround-view camera as an added safety feature.
The MG HS replaces the MG GS boasting more styling design language. The salient features comprise lane departure warning, blind spot detection, a 12.3-inch digital instrument panel, and a 10-inch touchscreen display.
Further information regarding these models will be revealed before their launch in the Middle East.
Tom Lee, Managing Director for SAIC Motor Middle East, the parent company of MG Motor, said: “A significant trend we are noticing across the globe – and even more acutely in the Middle East – is that buyers are increasingly demanding better quality, style, and technological capability: all at a greater value. While competitors are looking to push the boundaries to meet these expectations, I’m proud to say that customers are recognizing these attributes in our dynamic model line-up and this has resulted in our relentless growth in the region. Indeed, we’re currently benefitting from a more adaptable economic climate to the extent that we now have the opportunity to confidently compete in the seven-seat segment for the first time.”
The British-born car brand had a great last year in terms of sales in the region thanks to its growing network of showrooms and service centers.
