Ferrari’s V8 has done it again! The award-winning 3.9-liter V8 has won International Engine & Powertrain of the Year award for the fourth time in a row. No other engine in history has ever achieved this award four times. Not only this, but the Ferrari V8 engine also won Performance Engine of the Year award and was honored in two other segments. The 21st edition of the International Engine & Powertrain of the Year was held in Stuttgart, Germany.

The 720-cv, 3.9-L Ferrari V8 engine gives power to the 488 GTB, 488 Spider, 488 Pista, and 488 Pista Spider. To make this year’s awards fairer for hybrid powertrains, the authorities switched capacity categories with power output categories. The Ferrari’s V8 engine performed very well taking home the best power unit over 650 PS. Additionally, the 3855 cc V8 driving the Portofino (with 600 cv) and GTC4Lusso T (with 610 cv) won in the 550 to 650 PS category.

After receiving these accolades, Ferrari has taken its number of International Engine & Powertrain of the Year awards to an inspiring 31.
