PEUGEOT 308 Gets Best Hatchback Award at the 2019 MECOTY

The power comes from a 165hp, 1.6 turbo engine.


At the 2019 Middle East Car of the Year Awards (MECOTY), the PEUGEOT 308 received Best Hatchback of the Year Honor, thanks to its superior French styling, advanced tech, and first-class performance. This is the second time PEUGEOT won a MECOTY award after its return in the Middle East.

The compact 308 hatchback is a capable car by every sense of the word and world recognized it when it was launched in 2014 by honoring it European Car of the Year. The power comes from a 165hp, 1.6 turbo engine, which is not only powerful but is also fuel efficient. The 16.8 km/l fuel efficiency is the best in its segment.

On the outside, the PEUGEOT 308 features advanced LED lighting and aggressive design. The interior retains sophisticated tech and employs the finest materials to give it a futuristic look.

The sporty hatchback is priced at AED 95,000 in the UAE.
