Maserati Modena Plant To Start Production Soon
The officials decided to start development of high-performance sports cars.
Harald J. Wester, CEO of Maserati S.p.A. recently met with Palma Costi, Emilia-Romagna Regional Government Councillor and the Mayor of Modena, Gian Carlo Muzzarelli in Via Ciro Menotti, Modena to decide the future of the Maserati Modena plant. The authorities also met with union delegates in this regard.
During the meetings, the officials decided to start development of high-performance, high-technology sports cars. They also focused on meeting the quality standards the brand is famous for.
Working in Modena since 1939, FCA will upgrade and renovate the present production lines in Autumn this year. By the mid of next year, we will see a totally new Maserati sports car coming out of this assembly line. The Maserati Modena plant will be a part of Maserati’s 2018 – 2022 industrial plan.
During the next three years, the brand will continually update the assembly lines to produce different new cars for markets all around the world. Fiat Chrysler Automobiles will invest 5 billion euros ($5.7 billion) to build new cars and powerhouses in Italy. This will enhance production and bring new jobs in the market.
