Tesla introduced the Model S P100D in August 2016 with a 100 kWh battery as its range-topping model. The automaker also added Ludicrous mode for its all-wheel-drive to make it superfast on its toes. When it came out, it became the fastest production car, available as new, because it was capable of hitting 97 km/h in just 2.5 seconds. The 100 kWh battery gave the Model S P100D an estimated range of 315 miles on the EPA cycle. Now the interesting part!
