Lamborghini Sedan May Arrive by 2021
The automaker is also about to launch the Urus performance SUV later this year.
Lamborghini revealed its Estoque sedan concept back in 2008, but didn’t announce any plans for the production model. However, now reports indicate that a Lamborghini sedan is in works and may arrive in 2021.
The Lamborghini sedan will supposedly resemble the Estoque concept. It will feature a front-mounted engine and have a four-seat layout. We are not sure about the powertrain, but it is likely to include a hybrid system.
Besides the Lamborghini sedan, the automaker is also about to launch the Urus performance SUV later this year. The reason why Lamborghini is expanding its lineup is the financial disaster, which recently struck the Volkswagen Group. Following the dieselgate scandal, the Volkswagen Group has been devising strategies to double its sales volume in order to overcome the loss. With the launch of the Urus performance SUV, the automaker will surely attract new customers.
Additionally, the launch of Lamborghini sedan will bridge the gap between supercars such as Huracan, Aventador and the Urus SUV. Other luxury car markers including Ferrari have also diversified their model lineup by stepping into different car segments. Ferrari’s first-ever SUV will arrive in 2021.
